[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I think one of the most beautiful Ophryses I've ever seen . . . . Till now
I found it on the peninsula Gargano. A very orchid-rich part of Italy.

A very nice site for information about the Ophrys genus is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophrys

Thank you for looking
Roel

Roel,
phantastic image, so very powerfully approached - with wealthy details and delightfully deep colours! My congratulations! A most beautiful Ophrys that I have not seen yet. Love to see those well hidden and rare orchids, we do have some similar ones (O. holoserica, O. apiformis) near Vienna in May - but only in a few - and rather secret - places.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter

P.S.: Thank you for your kind words to Nigritella.
I totally agree with your suggestions of improval. The image was not intending to portray that flower in detail but just a quick snapshot while going up the mountains in order to catch "the feeling" up there.
