Hi all!

An unknown face was looking at me while I was searching for something to please my eye. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the creator of all these beautiful figures, shapes and patterns in the ice of the river Ärgera. Our encounter was very short and we couldn't talk together. When I wanted to look at the face for the second time it had already gone, washed away and hidden by a flow of melting water.

To exist and to disappear... both are so close together!

Kind regards

Markus

Taken in RAW, basic corrections in camera RAW as colour temperature, levels and sharpness. Import to PS CS4 and final postprocessing.

Although surprising, the colours are natural, there's no manipulation at all...

P.S.

Two of our TN members already have told about an "Sepia-effect" in this picture. I would like to insist that the colours are natural. I didn't use any postprocessing filter at all. The particular light conditions of that day in combination with the composition of the underground beyond the ice created this Sepia-effect.

Hello Markus,
The face or the Dolphin or what ever... Beautiful composition in colours, shapes and patterns. Great sharpness. All your photos are very eye-catching, and not for just a second.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Markus
Another interesting capture.
I see a ...man masque!
But, our imagination is not the same.

Ciao Markus,

Hi and good morning Markus,

Hi dear Markus ,

I can see this face.
Great work and TFS my dear Markus.

Best wishes
Saeed

Hi Markus,
Artistic shot in Your own style. Very interesting capture, reminds me also to a mask. The usage of soft sepia tone was also a good idea. Elegant work as always from You. Congrats and tfs.
Have a nice week, friendly regards, László

Hello Markus

Pierre

Ciao Markus. tecnica, inventiva fantasia e grafica al massmo livello. Ancora complimenti.

Roberto

Lieber Markus, nochmals,

Anne

Hi Marcus. I would have not seen it at first untill you have said a face. You have such sharp eyes. Taken with fine detail which has shown all of the wonderful shapes and paterns. Spring will be with you soon and the ice pictures gone for this year. Well taken TFS.

Hello Markus
another interesting capture from surface of the ice of river Ärgera. it is great shot. nicely composed and presented. it looks like a face masque. But, at same time, it is similar a dolphin, especially on thumbnail.

Hi Markus,
such an abstract and it gives a dreamy feeling to look at it. The beauty is hard to explain but the appreciation goes to the heart.
It is just amazing and how it is liked cant be decribed through words,

Hallo Markus
Thanks once again for sharing an image that leaves a lot to the imagination. What I see in this image is the foetus of a baby busy developing in the womb of a lady. Maybe everybody will think I am a bit ga-ga but that is what I see. Maybe it is because I heard that I am going to become a grandma in a few months time that everything I see looks like babies. Whatever it is at the end, it is beautiful. The variety of patterns and shapes are very fascinating to look at. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
Anna
