Hi JeanMarie,
Deze scherp gedetailleerde macro van een vlinder heeft inderdaad veel weg van een heliconius. Misschien melpomene? Maar ik ben geen kenner. Prachtige foto met ongelooflijke details. Mooie kleuren en genomen vanuit een ideaal standpunt.

Sorry i can't help you in identify this lovely species of butterfly; I can only admire this macro shot :). Nice lateral POV showing good sharpness and details. The red, hairy fringe that is running laterally in patches from head to tail is very impressive.Thanks for this lovely presentation,
