Hi Jan Arie,
The colors look great. To me, he is just to far away to make this shot work. I get frustrated too because I do not have that big lens to fill the frame if they are to far away. If you try and crop away to much sky to make him bigger, you will loose alot of detail and get gain alot of noise.(grainey look) The only way a shot like this works is if you have a whole flock of birds in it, and you are showing many of them. With the lens you used, it is best for any closeup work. Bugs, flowers, or anything you can fill more of the frame with. Good Luck, keep shooting.
