Family: Nymphalidae

This species can be found in southern and central Europe and Asia (Caucasus and Iran). In Portugal can be found in the NE region.
The adult appears form May to September in areas with high temperature and light forests, preferably near water streams with leafy vegetation at 100-1000m altitude.
The egg is round, green, has a bee nest structure and is covered with thin hairs. The catepillar is green, with brown thorns and legs. It feeds on Lonicera spp. and hibernates curled on a leaf. Wingspan 45-50mm.

Bonita macro Hugo, con buena nitidez y colorido, incluyendo los difíciles blancos.
Me agrada el POV y el DOF es muy adecuado, creando un fondo difuso y suave.
Sólo existe un área de las alas que aparecen oscuras... no utilizaste el flash como relleno?
Buen trabajo.
Espero continuar viendo nuevos trabajos tuyos, así como tu participación activa opinando y criticando imágenes de otros miembros.

Macro bonito Hugo, com claridade boa e colorindo, incluindo o difícil branco.
Eu gosto de POV e DOF é muito apropriado, enquanto criando um fundo difunda e macio.
Uma área das asas que você eles só se aparece existe escuro... você não usou o flash como eu enchesse?

Welcome to TN! This is a fine shot of the Southern White Admiral. If you like, I might be able to improve it a little with regard to the shade on the hindwing by taking it to the workshop.

Fantastic shot of this beautiful butterfly. Very sharp, nice background and great colours. It's just a bit too dark.
