|Esta palmeira atinge até 30 m de altura e um diâmetro (DAP) de até 60 cm. Este exemplar produz frutos grandes, de até 10 cm de comprimento, ovóides e com 1 a 5 sementes. As sementes de algumas espécies brasileiras são empregadas no Pará para defumar a borracha. |
This palm tree grows up to 30 meters and produces fruits ( it looks like, but its not banana) with 10 centimeters in length. Seeds from some variations of this palm tree are used to smoke rubber in Pará, Brazil

Not an easy one with so much contrast between the fruits in the shade and the sun light in the BG.
Are these fruits edible? I know there is a similar palm in Bolivia and the fruits are very tasty (but do not have much 'meat') - I wonder if it's the same palm
