[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little fellow was paddling down a small stream in the middle of a bog at the end of Sambro Head stright away. I thought he would keep on coming but when he saw me did an 180 turn and headed back the way he came. He was the first different duck that I've seen in our area. (A male Hooded Merganser)
-very little PP-the way I liked it.

Its a male Hooded Merganser Like seeing birds in own enviroment very natural Colors are good pov compo probably look better on a larger photo Well timed

WOW Roy, congratulation on capturing what looks like hooded merganser to me! I have only seen these at a distance, as they keep well clear of "traffic" , human or otherwise.

That is "extra fuerte"! Look at that head on that duck! Tfs, Jay

PS Send me the original please!

Hello Roy,
Great looking merganser you have captured quite well, Beautiful markings, he's ready to impress the ladies, thanks for sharing Roy.
Rick

Hi Roy, he seems a little small for the picture, but what a huge head. It's a very good natural looking shot, with very good detail throughout. I see below, he's been identified. First I've seen; neat.

Thanks, John
