Hi all,
After looking at Thijs's photo I think I got the ID of this fly which i shot at "De Hortus" couple of weeks back. It is a an orange and black banded hoverfly(Marmalade) with a distinctive pattern of faint stripes on the body, this species is widespread and very common. Hoverflies are useful insects to encourage in a garden as most species feed on aphids and this one is no exception.
(larvae eat aphids; adults are nectar feeders in garden flowers).

Goutham Bhai, It seems that the flower is made to the size of the bee. Very clear and lovely focus shot. Ganesh

Hi Goutham,

Marvelous close-up of this fly. It looks to be part of the flower - perfect fit. Excellent details. I love the blurred flower next to the sharp one.

Hello Goutham,
I enjoy the wide frame composition, warm colors and BG here...Great detail and exposure. These hoverflies are very difficult to positively ID.
Well done!
