This little guy was chirping a warning to his buddies that a hawk was overhead . The raptors in our area are always looking to catch these gofers for baby food .

Hi Kevin,
good shot of the gopher you have uploaded today as you can see those front teeth very well.The colour and composition of this photo are good however the focus is not as hard as it could be as I think the grass just in front of this little critter may of caused the camera some confusion in what needs needs to be focused.You know that this gopher almost looks insane and it seems to me that they always look like they over react to anything they are not sure of in this way.As you have indicated in your note they are a favorite food for raptors and others so I understand the animal's fearful look.Tfs. Bob
