My friend Bob and I went to Frank Lake , and finally caught a break . The sun was out and there were quite a few pelicans around . They are very big birds .

This is a great capture Kevin. I love his feet skimming the surface. I think a faster shutter speed may have resulted in a bit more sharpness. What caused the dark blurs in the lower right and left sides?

Hi Kevin
Nice action shot of your Pelican landing and just skimming the water. The soft lighting enhances the colours. Detail are great. Well done.

I guess the Pelicans are travelling through again on their way south...I guess that means fall is just around the corner.

Hello Kevin

A runway shot.Looks like a plane coming in to land.Very good pose captured and good timing.I like how the wing tips are up.Very good POV and DOF.TFS

WOW Kevin, this has got to be the b747 of birdland! BIG bird indeed!

I love the moment that you captured here. The full wingspan out and right at the first moment of splash-down!

I would only fiddle a wee bit with the ratios etc. See WS.
