From this wide angle view, I get a wide AND deep perspective. Wow! It is quite the scape shot..That certainly looks like eh place to stand or even sit, have a smoke, oooops..scratch that (old old days) and just relax.....take in the scenery all day long...then exhale! If you remember eh 60's you weren't there:-) It's an old joke we hippies used to say..but then this is eh kind of view we would have wanted as well..and still do for that matter. John Denver would have had a second home here...of course he could have afforded it..

Hello Tony,
A spectacular and well composed panaoramic view of this reservoir and its outflow into the bay. The rainforest and its rounded tree-tops looks inviting in the superb lighting.
You should be working for the Aukland Tourist Board as your landscapes certainly would invite me as a tourist!

Hi Tony,

This looks like a really beautiful area, so lush and green and also has such long vistas. The shape of the reservoir is dynamic and the distant clouds look like they are sweeping along in the wind. I think the image could use a bit of a rotation to the left as those flat bottomed clouds are generally horizontal.

I'm drooling - this is so beautiful. My traveling companion son was here today and I had him look at your pictures. Now he just can't wait until we get to New Zealand. There are a few places on Earth that seem to have very special colors - NZ must be one of them. The blues and shades of green are exquisite.

The reservoir, with its natural borders, creates a good lead-in to the sea and vast horizons beyond.

Tell me Tony, how many days of stunning skies do you Kiwis have? Its just not fair that I have to live with grey skies most of the time.
Your high vantage point gave this photo a wonderful view on your part of the world. I love to see that many trees and the soft rolling hills. The low level clouds add a lot of depth to the photo.

Another place that I've also seen. It's there so beautiful. Green hills. A perfect view to the see. You made a spectacular and well composed panoramic view. You can see very well the cloudbase, amazing.

I did a little WS. Just for fun to show the TN members the little difference between 2005 and your shot. I hope you (and they) like it.
