That's wonderful my friend, the waves spreading wider and wider in the bay, composed within the hug of the rocks! The pattern of the water as it creates surfs in the shallow looks beautiful...

Tony, I envy you for the beauties of nature you live among.
This is yet another heavenly place by the sea. The atmosphere seems to be so clean and pure.
As usual, this is a beautiful landscape picture. From your perspective, the wavelets lapping the beach look fantastic with predominance of white frothy colour on them.

Hi Tony, it looks like you can still climb higher. Or is this as far as they let you go now? I have NEVER climbed the Lion.
But your horizon is very crooked.
I love seeing the waves as they roll in like this - you certainly get a good view from up there.

Perfect this seascape Tony. Te POV is in my eyes perfect. You couldn'n be find a better place to shoot PIHA beach. And of course they are surfing at the marvelous waves. The overall composition, sharpness and clarity of your picture is excellent.
I couldn't reach the top on my holiday. To dangerous. not the appropriate shoes. Sandals (-:

I take a few days off. Holliday in Germany.

Hi Tony,

I probably write the same words for each of your seascapes. They are just so beautiful and so well composed. I think the waves steal the scene - they are rolling in in such lovely patterns accentuated by the white foam. The water is framed so nicely by the mountains and sky.

Hello Tony,

You have chosen a good pov, keeping a portion of the headland in view to frame the shot and anchor the f/g.
I like how the gently lapping waves are perfectly and naturally framed by the surrounding land.

The colours are just beautiful. (That comes from the heart of a rain weary person, crying out for some warm sun and blue sky!)

A fine capture of the Lion's head headland and at least as interesting is the beach in the FG with a fine pattern of rollers coming in over the black sands.
Looks like a fine surfing beach!

The horizon is mentioned so I leave that aside. The many waves roling in this bay give this photo a very spectacular look. Your high POV also showed the shape of the bay perfectly. I like that you have more light in the back than front. This adds depth to the photo.
