Hypena lividalis (Hübner, 1796)

Hypena lividalis (22-7mm wing span) is a species of snout moths originated from Africa. In Europe, this species occurs in the Mediterranean. In addition, they also colonized the Atlantic Islands (Canaries, Azores and Madeira) and it is a rare migrant in nother countries of Europe up to Sweden. The caterpillars feed primarily on Parietaria judaica and in Urtica dioica. It develops many generations per year. |
