Acontia lucida (Hufnagel, 1766)
Lepidoptera: Noctuidae

Acontia lucida (24-30mm wing span) is a noctuid very common in Greece and as a migrant in UK. The larvae are polyphagous, feeding on various herbaceous plants, mainly on mallow (Malva species), common marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis), goosefoots (Chenopodium) and dandelion (Taraxacum). This species overwinters as pupa below ground.

Hello Nikos,
Quite well captured this Pale Shouldered Moth. I like your chosen composition. Details looks good but personally I would like bit more details. Perfect background for macro photography although you have tried hard to clean the obstacles in the left portion, mainly using blur tool, I think. Left top and bottom corner showing unfinished edit. Well captured its eye.
