Hi Gerhard, excellent shot of his absolutely vicious teeth, great detail. I fully agree with your comments about feeding wild animals.
I wonder what the white line is at the back of his neck??
Well done

Great shot good action. Nice warm colours. Good focus and detail.
Those teeth are massive.
Excellent post. Nice to see someone trying to educate the people a bit. It would be nice if the monkey feeders could think past the tips of their noses. Great note. I hope people listen.
Good shot, well done.

Absolutely perfect shot. No annoying background distractions, perfectly sharp, and conveys a message of terrific potential danger while the animal passively yawns.
Very striking. Great photographer notes also.
Thanks for sharing,
Deeb.

Usefull notes. You are right, I see many people that feed wild animals.
The baboon is the only animal I'm scared to, when I'm in Africa.
Expecially big males like this.
The pic is absolutely great !!
The details are excellent and what a big !!yawn!! you captured!
Well done and tsf.

Hello Gerhart
Simply amazing!
Althought it's a yawn, not a roar, it's still very impressive!
Great timing and POV here above everything else, IMHO.
However, I like the sharpness and colors very much, too.
Someone should tell him to go to the dentist to do something about those yellow teeth :))
Seriously now, a really beautiful composition!
Bravo and TFS

Gerhard.- Una bella foto, justo en el momento de su grito, y creo que tienes toda la razon en NO alimentar a los animales salvajes ya que eso los hace ser dependientes de nosotros y ademas corren riesgos. Saludos Luis52.

Ps-Congrats on the new lens! The results looks awesome. Sandra and I bought the 70-200 f4 L-lens before we went off to the UK and we also think it's a very sharp lens. We couldn't afford a longer one though ... ;)

Awesome capture of this very intimdating looking facial pose. most people who see this kind of shot with thier mouths open usually interpret this as a threat when it's only a simple yawn. Very nice. :)
