I believe this is a flower from 'Cannaceae' family. From wikipedia the only genus in this family is 'canna'. The picture is well composed with vivid colors. This canna flower is beautiful and pleasant to view. Regards,

You know significantly more names of flowers than I do, but I know (I see) that your flower picture is great as well as the great is you technique. Perfect DOF (exposure parameters are brilliant), very nice POV. I also like complex and different BG. It is very impressive. Colours, contrast, lighting and composition are wonderful too. Hello Achim,
Thanks for your critique on one of my recent pictures.
This is an interesting species of Cannas with those finely textured spots on the yellow leaves. We have quite a few varieties of this perennial flower in India. It is a garden flower in our country and I am surprised that it grows wild in Palau.

Hello Achim,
With the Bougainvillea next to this flower it indicates that it is in a flower bed, i.e. it is a garden flower which is not quite right for TN, unless you have some interesting notes about that specific flower.
