Hi Achim,
What a lovely image of this soft desert sand. The contours are beautiful as are the shadows. The colours of the sky and the sand contrast so well. Nice, a lovely composition of excellent quality.

What a wonderful desert landscape in warm pastel colour and with the soft blue sky beyond. Excellent depth of focus and sharpness and I love the little tufts of green here and there. Lovely shot!

Great colours and tones. Nice composition. A pitty you didn't get away from the tyre tracks in the sand and capture the natural texture of the dunes. Nice enough though. Well done.

Gestern sah ich dieses Bild der Lybischen Wüste, das mir sehr gefiel. Die Farben sind so auffallend fein, der Ausblick schön gewählt. Warst Du auch in Leptis Magna? Das ist noch so ein Traum von mir.

For one like me who has to live in a desert country, this kind of a scene could not be that exciting unless there is something very special about it, Achim.
The picture appeals to me by virtue of its great compositional quality. The selection of details in this shot is immaculate -- well shaped dunes in the foreground and background and the depression in-between with those green bushes struggling to survive in the hostile, arid terrain.
You haven't tried to saturate the colours, and that is also a great vitue in this picture.
