Excellent exposure and detail from this distance..How far were you Harry?
The bears darker colors stand out well against the white of the snow, just the right contrast.
An interesting compositional line-up :)
Very well done.

Nice work, Harry -- a rare sight, well positioned within a complementary frame, a perfect line of the polar bears and that nice sweeping curve above them. Great note, too!

Hi Harry,
It's another winner. I shudder to think of how these animals will suffer with global warming. Life was not that easy as it was. Perfect exposure and the arrangement and lines really give the feeling of a march across the ice field.

Hello Harry,
Your shots of Polar Bears are really outstanding, this one is no exception. Fantastic compositions and they are all sharp and the colours are perfect. I hope the increasing number of tourists don't disturb these grand animals too much!

The open space around the bears is fine way to convey the vastness of the snow field.
Great composition.

Hola Harry,
Una increible foto, me gusta mucho como se ve esa fila india de osos caminando sobre ese ambiente en extremo hostil y blanco. la definición es muy buena; la composición es genial, con esa línea sinuosa de agua helada rompiendo la monotonía de la nieve. 10 puntos no, 11 si. Una foto como para National Geographic

A superb capture of this small family, Harry! I'm afraid life is going to get tougher and tougher for these bears, as the ice forms later and later in the year. Not only is their environment changing, their northern territory is getting invaded by grizzlies moving north, adapting to the new conditions and putting more pressure on the polar bears with their specialized life style.

Hoi Harry,

Groetjes,
Paul

Hi Harry,
You have posted so many superb photos that I am having a hard time to choose on which ones to comment. I decided to add this one to my favourites for its simple yet great composition. One does not see a picture of a perfect line of three white bears very often but here as an added bonus the diagonal track in the snow brings depth and extra interest. Perfect exposure and sharpness. Outstanding.

Hello Harry,
This is real wildlife photography which could be displayed on the cover of any nature magazine. I wonder if a human has any chance to survive an encounter with such a splendid animal. You were lucky to be able to photograph them from inside of the Tundra Buggy.
Composition:
Composition is perfect! I love the way you used the tracks in your composition. They add a great perspective to your picture. Also the bears were placed in the right spot to create a well balanced composition. It is like they continue the criss-cross shape of the tracks in the background.
Colors:
There isn't much to say about colors in this picture since white is the dominant color. But the yellowish hue in the bears' fur and the blueish one in the ice gives us a sense of color.
Contrast:
The contrast is well adjusted to enhance the otherwise pale details.
Exposure:
Exposure is perfect! You didn't let the bright scene fool your camera and captured every detail perfectly.
Focus:
In spite of the fact that cameras have problems focusing on a subject with little contrast, you focused right on the bears. The details are sharp and stand out from the white background.
A wonderful work of art! Well seen and presented! I'll add it to my favorites, with your permission. Thank you!
With Friendly Regards,
Eddie

Hi Harry,
This is a wonderful shot, it must have been an incredible trip. I love the close composition isolating just the bears in their surroundings, and the ice line winding off into the distance adds a great balance.
Lovely timing and exposure too.
Let's hope we are able to enjoy these magnificent creatures for many years to come, the ice disappearing fast as it is...
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for your comments on my shot - much appreciated.
