Mollymawk! Now that's one I've never heard of or seen for that matter until now. What a cool bird well seen here. Fine shot of it on the water. TFS James

Magnificent Albatross, real luck to take pictures of these birds. I like reflections in the water showing the undulated surface of the sea.

Hi James,
Wonderful shot of this small albatross doing an activity they know best. Very neat and sharp image with nice colours and perfect lighting. The water ripples does create a fine effect. Great POV to portray it and very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi James,
Interesting albatross species, esp. the bill. Really good shot. I wonder a bit of fill-flash would be useful here. Must have been very hard to get this one. Best wishes,
Hakan

Hi james;
I really like this one, the Albatross has always amazed me with its huge wingspan and the way it glides just above the water, a beautiful looking bird so well captured, stunning detail and the exposure is spot-on, really nice work Cheers Rick :)

Hi James
Nicely composed (but maybe it would be a little bit better croped a little bit from the bottom)and great sharpness. I think that you could do higlights reduction (to remove the blink on the left) and also lighten shadows a little bit.
Also good informative note
Best wishes

Hello James,
A lovely bird with a characteristic beak!
Fine details in the plumage, and a good angle on the bird...
I notice how high the bird seems to be floating on the water, but I guess the salt content is normal...
Greetings,

James, you have created sheer magic through this fantastic picture of the Mollymawk.
The picture has a veritable three dimensional aspect to it. The grey tones in the picture contrast so well with the colours on the bird's beak and plumage.
The movement of and textures on the waves are just amazing.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful picture and best regards.

Unusual little bird - wonderful lighting on the top of the head...interesting how the bird seems metallic...and the water like quick silver. Very nice!

Hello James,
I hate to talk about shutter speed and so but I do it know 'cause I'm a bit surprised this image is actually sharp; the meta is saying 1/160...
Anyway is very sharp and it's good of course.
Beautiful albatross. I like the bill; doesn't look grey but rather gold apparently through the light and water reflection..
Well done
TFS
