[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Wadi Rum is a protected area covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. Huge mountains of sandstone and granite emerge, sheer-sided, from wide sandy valleys to reach heights of 1700 meters and more. Narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains and many conceal ancient rock drawings etched by the peoples of the desert over millennia. Bedouin tribes still live among the mountains of Rum and their large goat-hair tents are a special feature of the landscape.

Hi Achim.
Great composition of the tree in the landscape, sure looks hot and dry. I like the position of the larger part of the tree shadow over to the right and the tree slightly to the left, the eye moves out under the tree and beyond, nicely done.

Hi Achim, wonderful landscape capture of a great biological reserve from Jordan with great colours.
Many thanks for sahring this.

Hi, Achim,

Hi Achim,
A nice capture of this beautiful desert landscape. Very well composed with the beautiful tree in foreground. Lovely colors. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice desert presentation Achim! I like natural colours and light. I believe it was not easy to keep the sky blue, as the sun was probably very strong. The only thing I would change is the tree - at present its top and left side are cutted, it would be nice to keep these parts on the photo :)
Best regards,

Hello Achim, I like this shot for two reasons. A. The shadow of the tree which really produces superb effect in the lighting and colors. B. The color of the tree you choose to shoot and with the sorroundings. Absolutely georgeous shot. I somehow feel that you have cropped a bit or you have not had the entire tree in your focus. But thats only a suggestion from the photographer's view point. But superb shot which qualifies for a tourist card or post card. Well done. Ganesh

Hi Achim,
Light, colors, layers and DOF look very good. The place itself is beautiful. I agree with others about the cropping. TFS
Best wishes,
