[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This time I would like to show the beautiful and fascinating mountain landscape where I looked for high alpine butterflies and indeed I found several interesting species here. This is also true for other insects which could even be observed resting on snow and ice and cocomitantly exposing their wings to the sun.

Next time I will present some of the species found here.

The place is in the upper Martell-Valley at about 2600m where one has to walk over snow and large rocks (you can see a path in the snow). The view is towards the magnificent Gran Zebru or Königsspitze (3851m).

they are there ..waiting for you...

Buen ángulo de disparo y mucho realismo. La nieve del primer plano casi puede tocarse de lo bien que plasmaste su textura. La luz es sorprendente y las somras de las nubes dan una dimensión especial a esta gran fotografía.

Hallo Peter,
Die Landschaftsphotos sind auf TN offenbar nicht sehr geschätzt, für mich ist es aber immer wichtig, auch das Umfeld zu kennen, wo sich unsere Insekten bewegen. Ich muss sagen, dass ich hier keine Schmetterlinge mehr vermutet hätte. Eine sehr schöne Berglandschaft, sehr gut präsentiert mit dem kleinen Pfad im Vodergrund, der unser Blick über die Schneedecke bis zu der Bergkette im Hintergrund leitet. Würde gerne da oben sein!
