The central/diagonal composition worked wonders here Peter, the natural colours of the sharp image are so soothing for the eyes. The cerambycid glows like a small golden brooch on that purple flower. Sure hope to see similar close up studies from you in 2010 too!

Definitely, excellent technique for photographing insects. A flower and an insect captured quite well, with an approach that meets each layer of depth in her role, very good light for the entire photo. It is a pleasure watching your work done with such care.
