Hello dear friends and visitors!
I found this sympathetic lizard in a "plantation" near New Orleans.Of course I have no idea of its IDD.
Hope you like it and find it friendly as I did.

The Carolina anole (Anolis carolinensis) is an arboreal lizard found primarily in the southeastern United States and some Caribbean islands. Other common names include the green anole, American anole and red-throated anole. It is sometimes referred to as the American chameleon due to its color-changing abilities; however, many lizards are capable of this, and anoles are not true chameleons. They are a small lizard, usually measuring 6-8in, about half of which is comprised by tail, and weighing 3–7 g (0.11–0.25 oz). Exceptionally, these anoles can measure up to 20 cm (7.9 in)Wikipedia

Really nice shot, Ana. The focal point is the head and the lighting on the head is fantastic. Although part of the lizard is amputated it does not matter as the focal point is the head. Great composition with the diagonal lines, Well done

I agree with Munky's critique above. To get in close with its pose, as you did, part of the lizard had to be left out and I think you did just well with that. A very good image indeed. Best wishes.

Hello Ana,
I love this well detailed image of this pretty little Green Anole Lizard. The subject is in super sharp focus and the lighting is just right, allowing us to see all of it's tiny scale-like features.
It seems to have an inquisitive look on it's face as if it is studying something interesting. I also like the clean blurred BG. Well done!!
