The small copper, Lycaena phlaeas, is widely distributed. It occurs in Europe, the palaearctic part of Asia, North America and also in some parts of Africa.
The butterfly is busy on a flower of Achillea millefolium, (Asteraceae).

Location
A flower-rich meadow in the Martell-Valley in the North-Italian Alps. Altitude about 1000 m.

Beautiful photo, great details on the wings. You had quite difficult conditions with dark toned insect and white flowers combination, but you solved the problem quite well, with only minor detail loss on the bright parts. Top notch sharpness and optimal DoF beside the pleasant composition. Congrats and tfs.
