Seeing Argavio's recent post of a similar picture inspired me to post my own recent "stilt with reflection" picture.
This is the New World version of the Stilt - the Black-necked Stilt. These elegant shorebirds breed and feed in shallow freshwater ponds over a large area of the United States.

The contrast of their red legs and their black and white bodies is quite striking in good light. Unfortunately, the water was a little too deep to see his legs well. Their long slender legs really contribute to their elegant look. |

Realy nice picture Chris, you should earn more points for a shot like this..! I like the off center composition and the mirror effect is of course the hole thing about this picture.. WELL DONE!!

Chris, a classic theme, a very nice photo.
I like pov and composition a lot. Great exposure too, so that there is no overexposure upon the whites.
The reflection does add a lot.
