[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I dont know the name of this bird. It has an interesting call and I traced it by following the sound until I found it.
Bird was photgraphed along the Chobe river in Botswana.

PS - Thanks to Philip Raggett, I know the name of this bird.

Here is some info on the bird:
A smallish bird (19 -20 cm), distributed from southern Africa to the Sudan. It is a locally common resident in the north and north east of the region. It inhabits dense riverine bush and is usually solitary. It eats insects and spiders.

Very colorful bird. Nice colors in your photo and good focus on the subject.

très beau cliché !
cet oiseau ressemble un peu à celui que j'ai photographié en Guadeloupe et qui est appelé là bas "sucrier à ventre jaune"
Peut être est ce de la même famille ?
A voir !

Hello Liezel
Il est très joli cet oiseau. Il a de merveilleuse couleurs que tu lui rends a merveille. Belle composition et les détails sont jolis. Beau BG
Au revoir et a bientôt...JP

Decent photograph considering this is quite a shy bird!! Its a Heuglin's Robin found mostly along permanent watercourses in Botswana such as the Okavango, Limpopo and as here the Chobe river.

Just wondered if you used a tripod since the shutter speed was 1/50...
