Hi Ahmet,

How appropriate to dedicate a Nuthatch to Glen! He will love it. A beautiful bird in a wonderful pose - I love the opened beak. His colors are wonderful and the details of his face and plummage is just marvelous. An excellent close-up and a lovely setting.

Hello Ahmet,

It is not easy to photograph so well this quick moving bird. You have got a nice, sharp image showing so well the pumage pattern and colors. Moreover the bird has a very natural looking pose. Bird's colors are making a fine contrast with the well looking background.

Hallo Ahmet
This is an excellent capture with lots of clear and admirable details, and a most appropriate dedication to Nicholas. The black stroke of feathers running through the eye, reminds me of Zorro. It is very noticeable and makes the bird very handsome looking. I do like the very sharp "tweezers" beak, and I agree with Howard that the lichen on the branch adds a special touch to this already sunny photograph. Thanks for sharing.

A great capture of Sitta europeae taken from a fine POV with excellent technical qualities. I like th composition on the lichen-covered branch against a pleasing OOF neutral BG.
This subspecies has a rusty-coloured breast and belly, almost like the British and continental European, but the Scandinavian ssp has a white breast and belly.
