Dante's View, at 5,475 feet at the crest of the Black Mountains, is one of the most famous photographic spots in Death Valley. Dante's looks almost straight down on the lowest point in North America, Badwater, and across the sparkling salt flats of Death Valley to Telescope Peak in the Panamints and the Sierra Mountains 100 miles to the west.
