This seems to be a regular face here on TN.
Not only the Mute swan, but these portrait shots of the Mute swan.
I've been trying not to post this, but I had to give in.

This was shot at Startops reservoir near Tring. I was sat on a bench next to the canal, which runs alongside the reservoir with my good lady, when this chap decided to join us.

I'm sure you've read enough about this swan, so I'll just leave these notes nice and short.

Desaturation

In photoshop elements, selected the white of the swan, hue/sat desaturated the yellow enough to keep the warmth yet showing some white, ran a highpass at 1.3 percent with a hardlight at 73 percent.
