This bird, possible a dove or pidgeon walking across the sand at Bondi Beach. Minimal PP and the foot is actually this reddish colour.

John's comment made me want to re-title this one Hot- foot!

Hi Murray, in this workshop I was mainly looking to brighten the scene up a little. I used curves and added some light to the midrange to bring up the lighting on the sand a bit. You were on the shadow side of the bird when you shot it so I wanted to lighten it a bit. I applied an overlay layer (with 50% grey) and painted the bird with a 10% opacity white brush and the foot I toned down with a 10% opacity black brush. It's kind of like dodging and burning. I hope this meets with your approval. I have removed the copy from my terminal.

Regards, John
