A Scarab beetle (Trichius fasciatus).
I like the fringes on its side and back, and the ones with a different colour in its neck. It was busy spreading pollen of this noxious plant, cow parsnip or hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium).

No PP other than crop, resize & USM.

My aim was to get a better composition and better dof.

selected the bug with the lasso tool .
inverted selection
applyd smart blur on the BG
usm on the bug.

I think it's an improvement, don't you ?
