These are the flowers of wild thyme, which can be found on the coastal plane, not far from the Mediterranean Sea, on "Kurkar", a carbonate-cemented quartz sandstone that forms a series of ridges along the Israeli shore. The flowers are quite small, about 1 cm. The plant is grows fairly close to the ground, as can be seen in the WS.
