On the curtain of a relative in early evening. A rather battered animal.

"this is Eupatula
walkeri (in it's latest incarnation -- used to be Erebus macrops then Erebus
walkeri) which occurs in Africa south of the Sahara as well as the
Seychelles, Comoros, Madagascar, Reunion and Mauritius. It is likely to be
the largest lepidopteran on Mauritius.
