Thanks very much for your comments on my previous post.

The current one is my 1st to the 'Cacti' category. It was shot in Cactualdea Park, which advertises itself as the biggest thematic cactus park in Europe (although, the term Europe is only politically right - as the Canary Islands belong to Spain -, geographically this area is clearly Africa). For botanic garden lovers the park is surely a must, as you can find over 1200 species of stem succulents, mostly cacti.

The species on the pic is the Fishhook barrel cactus (Ferocactus wislizeni (Engelm.) Britt. & Rose), one of those which was in bloom when we were there. The flowers of this species, with the thorns around, reminded me to a fairy garden (hence the title). You can see the full plant in the workshop.

Photo: taken in manual exposure mode, with f/8, 1/30 sec.,ISO 80 and manual white balance. PP: level and color adjustment, moderate cropping, re-sharpening after re-sizing.

Thanks for looking.
