|African Buffalo or Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a bovid from the family of the Bovidae. It is up to 1.7 meters high, 3 meters long, and can reach a weight of 900 kilograms.|
This photo was taken just south of Satara in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The local game wardens nicknamed these bachelor male buffalos "dugha boys" (dugha meaning mud) because of their habit of covering themselves in mud to get rid of parasites.
