Eastern Forktail damselfly females have several different color schemes

The female Eastern Forktail occurs in different colors and forms. Immature individuals are orange, as is this one. With age, the orange turns to blue. Apparently this transition happens rather quickly. There is also a female form with a male-like pattern and coloring. This species is known to obtain prey from spider webs.
Me to see this dragonfly and to my to like a lot their attractive color, orange, brilliant with the similar sun to the red one. however when observing it me to notice aggressiveness or their capacity to hunt insects: it is very speedy and their jaws to seem to be very strong and to give big bites, me to see as biting a plant in a very speedy and deep way.

Me to call to her: cannibal damselfly, what is to my to surprise that her to attack those of their same family: 'the biggest fish eats up to the small one.' Her first to bite to another damselfly of clear green color the one which to be hanging in a leaf of the pumpkin plant, I suppose that dead, seconds later, her to catch to this damselfly with red tail that you to see here in the image and me see as her devour it completely, in a surprising way. Me to have seen eat insects, as flies ( but not to somebody of their same family. Today's day to be very sunny but with many insects, I don't believe that she has had necessity to eat somebody of their same family, perhaps to be an I inhabit nutritious. Her to begin to eat at 12:10 o'clock and to finish approximately at 12:26 o'clock.

Me to place in workshop a picture where you to be able to appreciate when her almost to finish eating to the damselfly.
